Dear Alumni and Students of Columbia University,

The <Columbia New Student Send-off / New Alumni Welcome Event> hosted by CAA Korea every June will be held on Saturday, June 28th at Yonsei University Baekyang Nuri.

This event congratulates the newly admitted students who are about to leave for the U.S. for the fall semester and welcomes new graduates of Columbia University from May who are returning to Korea to join the alumni association.

I would like to ask you to participate in this once-a-year event where new students, current students, graduates and alumni all come together to share their experiences.

• Time : Part 1_Orientation (2:00~5:00pm) / Part 2_Networking (6:00~9:00pm)
• Venue: Yonsei University (Sinchon) Baekyang Nuri B1F Kwak Jung Hwan Hall
• Participants

(1) New undergraduate/graduate students entering in September 2025 (4 undergraduate and 18 graduate schools)

(2) Current undergraduate/graduate students

(3) New alumni who graduated in May 2025

(4) Alumni members

Participation fee (includes both Part 1 and 2)

(1) New undergraduate/graduate students who will enter September '25: Free!

(2) Current undergraduate/graduate school students as of June '25: Free!

(3) May '25 graduates (new alumni): Free!

(4) Alumni members: Full members (40,000 KRW per person), Associate members (50,000 won per person)

Caveats

(1) No on-site registration / admission on the day of the event (only pre-registered attendees can attend)
(2) New students, current students, and new alumni must attend Part 1 to attend Part 2

(3) Parents of graduate students are not permitted to attend the event (parents of undergraduate students are permitted to attend under the Minority Protection Act)

(4) Incoming undergrad students who are minors are not eligible to attend Part 2_Networking

(5) For alumni members, you can attend Part 2_Networking only (but only for those who have pre-registered and paid)

(5) For alumni members, the participation fee is the same even if you attend only
Part 2_Networking (40,000 won / Full Member, 50,000 won / Associate Member)

2:00~2:50pm: Refreshments & Reception

3:00~3:20pm: Opening remarks, President's welcome address, introduction to the Alumni Association

3:30~4:30pm

(IBK Corporate Bank Hall): Alumni Orientation (Career/Journey Q&A) by the Executive Board of CAA Korea

(Kwak Jung Hwan Hall): New Graduate Student Orientation (School/New York Life Q&A) by the Korean Graduate Students Association (KGSA)

(Helinox Hall): Undergraduate New Student Orientation (School/New York Life Q&A) by the undergraduate Korean International Society for Academics and Career (KISAC)

4:30~5:00pm: Part 2 (Networking) Venue announcement, closing remarks, group photo.

<Part 2: Networking>

6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (Sinchon/To-be-announced): Networking for new students, current students, graduates, and alumni members of each school.
